3RD NOVEMBER,
After a lull on the Railway zone for 7 days from
25th October, the enemy planes resumed bombing our track from the
lat instant and I beg to confirm the damages sustained by the
kailway through air raids between the lat and 3rd ins tant, as
already reported to you by various telegrams : –
LST NOVEMBER
TONG TOU HA. At about 7.15 hours 3 planes raided the
kailway and dropped 4 bombs aimed at No. 172 bridge at Km. 109. 880
No damage was done to this bridge and only one rail at Km. 109/13
was slightly damaged.
TU TONG CHEUNG MUK TOU. At about 14.30 hours 5 plenes
attacked the Railway between Tu Tong and Cheung Muk Tou. 8 bomba
were dropped with the result that 5 pairs of rail were slightly
damaged.
Repairs to the damages were immediately carried out.
2ND NOVEMBER.
TONG TOU HA-SHEK KU. At about 7.15 hours 3 planes raided
the Hailway and dropped 7 bombs aimed at No. 178 and No. 177
bridges at Km. 109.880 and Km. 115. 111 respectively. No damage
was done to the bridges or track, except that the telephone and
Tablet wires were torn down.
WAND LIK. At about 14.- hours 3 planes raided the Railway
and dropped 6 bombe aimed at No. 119 bridge at Km. 1. 508, with
the result that the track about 100 feet away from this bridge
was slightly damaged. The telegraph wires between #ang Lak
